We have been part of the drive technology manufacturer Dunkermotoren – and thus part of the AMETEK Group – since 2021. Dunkermotoren's head office is only about 35 km from Donaueschingen in Bonndorf, in the Black Forest. Dunkermotoren has been developing and realising complete drive solutions with up to 5,000 W output power for over 70 years.
Our first collaborative projects have already been realised with the SUMO automation systems. These systems are systematically being converted from pneumatic actuators to environmentally friendly and efficient electric drive technology.

In 2021, Dunkermotoren launched the IIoT brand nexofox. The nexofox IIoT services can be used not only for the smart motors in the Dunkermotoren dPro series, but also for the robot solutions from EGS Automation. There are various IIoT packages available for SUMO automation systems, from entry into the IIoT world with the IIoT-ready package to full integration into an ecosystem – all based on standardised modules. This not only gives EGS customers access to services such as Condition Monitoring and Messaging & Alarming, they also benefit from standardised data interfaces.
