EGS Automation is exhibitor at all about automation in Friedrichshafen

EGS Automation, a brand of AMETEK, is starting its exhibition season 2023 at all about automation exhibition in Friedrichshafen. From March 07 – 08, the robot specialist is exhibiting in Hall B2 – Stand 231. The all about automation in Friedrichshafen is considered the regional trade fair for industrial automation in the Lake Constance region.

Besides customized solutions for fully automated production in the plastics and metal industry, EGS Automation is known for its SUMO automation systems – a range of economic standard solutions. The SUMO automation systems are used for the automation of processes in many applications and industries. In the metal industry, the EGS solutions range from automation of single machines to full automation of the entire process chain. Thanks to the cooperation with Dunkermotoren, pneumatic axes can be replaced by electric axes in the SUMO product range, resulting in many benefits for the customers. The electric versions offer, e.g., a huge energy-saving potential compared to pneumatic solutions. Additionally, the small number of components reduce service efforts such as maintenance processes. Furthermore, IIoT-Services of Dunkermotoren´s IIoT brand nexofox are also applicable for the EGS robot solutions. For the SUMO automation systems, various IIoT packages are available. From the entry into the IIoT world thanks to the “IIoT-ready” package to full integration into an ecosystem – and all based on standardized modules. This enables customers to use services such as condition monitoring or Messaging & Alarming and to benefit from standardized data interfaces.
